We are seeking a skilled and creative Course Video Editor to join our team and help produce high-quality educational content. In this role, you will be responsible for editing raw video footage into engaging and polished course videos that enhance the learning experience for our students. You will work closely with instructors, instructional designers, and other team members to ensure that all video materials meet our brand standards and educational objectives. Key responsibilities include editing and assembling recorded footage, adding graphics, animations, and captions, improving audio quality, and ensuring smooth transitions and pacing. You will also be expected to collaborate on storyboarding, suggest creative improvements, and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines. Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve is essential, as is a strong sense of visual storytelling and attention to detail. The ideal candidate has experience editing educational or instructional videos, a portfolio demonstrating their editing skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, time management, and a passion for creating impactful learning experiences are highly valued in this position.
Proven experience in video editing, preferably with educational or instructional content, and a portfolio demonstrating your skills. Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve, along with a solid understanding of audio editing, color correction, and motion graphics. Ability to add captions, graphics, and animations to videos to enhance engagement and learning outcomes. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with instructors, instructional designers, and other team members. A bachelor’s degree in film, media, communications, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent professional experience will also be considered. Familiarity with e-learning platforms and a passion for creating high-quality educational content are considered strong assets.
